Spring is in the air!

All the snow has melted, the rivers are ice-free, the birds are churping and all the people (and their dogs) are out and about. It's Farrah's first spring and she's loving all the newly exposed scents and joys of the changing of the seasons.

Her fan club is growing each day, as is the list of comments from pedestrians. This week's top comment was, "Farrah...who does your hair?" A close second was, "wow! you're teeth are whiter than the new pair of dentures I just got!"

She encountered a gigantic Newfoundlander yesterday, and was curious as to why he wouldn't run around and play with her, like all the other dogs. She's not used to see dogs bigger than her, especially one as fluffy and slow moving as this old timer newfie.

Look who's 8 months old!

Farrah hit the big 8 month mark yesterday. A few weeks back, Farrah got a new little brother, Sebastien, and she just adores her new little friend. Surprisingly, he adores her as well, and as you can see from the photos, they spend a lot of time together. It's not unusual to find them both just hanging out in her crate. The funniest moment was when I caught Farrah carrying around a cardboard box in our liviing room by her mouth...but the alignment of the box just didn't seem right. I went and looked in the box and there was Sebastien curled up inside getting a free ride!

The cat likes to hide under the couch, and play with Farrah while just being out of reach. I can't believe that Farrah used to fit under the couch too (see evidence on blog entry dated Nov 2/09 here: http://epicchapter5.blogspot.com/2009/11/hiding-spots.html)

She's growing in the horizontal direction right now, more than in the vertical plane. She's really into twigs these days. carrying them around has become one of her hobbies.
